  • The outer disc, of Yellow, represents the highest values such as excellence, honor and loyalty with which we perform our duties and the wisdom that our members provide to all the facets of the Civil Air Patrol.

  • The second disc, of Air Force Blue, represents the constancy and devotion that our members have for both the Air Force and Civil Air Patrol.

  • The inner disc, of Black, represents the darkness of the night for when we are completing most of our search and rescue missions and the dignity and determination for which our members carry out these missions to be of service to our community, state, and nation.

  • In the background of this disc is the compass rose, of yellow, to represent the illumination of the path that we take to carry out our mission in any direction that we are needed.

  • The Air Force emblem and the Civil Air Patrol emblem appear in lightening bolts over a Target to represent the cooperation of the Air Force and Civil Air Patrol working togeather for a common goal of quickly finding a target. This symbol is also derived from the Group 225 Headquarters Patch for which Mcguire Composite Squadron was once a part of.

  • In the for front is Pudgy V, Major Thomas McGuire's P-38 Lightening, which represents McGuire Air Force Base that is the home McGuire Composite Squadron.

  • This disc also contains 4 White stars which represent the perfection for which we carry out each of the Civil Air Patrol's missions: Aerospace Education, Cadet Programs, Emergency Services and Homeland Security.

  • The Upper scroll contains the motto "So That Others May Live". in yellow, to represent our commitment, constancy and excellence with which we carry out our duties in performing Search and Rescue Missions.

  • The Lower scroll contains the squadrons name "McGuire Composite Squadron" for which we care the most.
