COLORS
RED - To remind members of the color of the blood shed by Civil Air Patrol members who sacrificed themselves performing missions in the defense of our country.
BLUE - Reminds of the color of the sky in which our aircraft fly in the accomplishment of our assigned missions.
WHITE - Represents purity and our dedication to principles of honesty, integrity, justice, courtesy and fair play.
SYMBOLS
BRIDGE - Indicative of the landmark Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge (right).
PROPELLER - Indicative of our flying missions that carry our volunteers forward meeting unit objectives.
TRIANGLE - The triangle's three points represent the three missions of the Civil Air Patrol: Search and Rescue, Aerospace Education and Cadet Programs.
The patch design was authorized by Minnesota Wing Commander, Col Kevin F Sliwinski, on February 6, 2000.
