According to European history...

  • Black represents constancy and in cases, the grief in which we do our duty.

  • Gold represents generosity and elevation of the mind.

    • The wings represent swiftness and protection, the arrows represent readiness. and the lightning. The lightening, representing swiftness and power, emphasizes the lamp which represents light, life, spirituality and knowledge.

    A new squadron patch was created (circa early-2003) by C/1st Lt Steve Saile.
